Eight people dead, hundreds injured at Travis Scott’s Astroworld jubilee

The “ mass casualty” incident was caused by a crowd swell Scott’s caption performance
Texas police have verified that eight people failed at Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival on Friday night (November 5),
with hundreds more sustaining injuries from a crowd swell.
The “ mass casualty” incident happed during Scott’s caption performance at the event. According to Houston Fire
Chief Samuel Peña, “ at roughly9.15 pm the crowd began to compress towards the front of the stage. And that caused some fear and it started causing some injuries.”

He latterly verified that 17 people were taken to sanitarium, including 11 who were in cardiac arrest. It’s also been
reported that hundreds more were injured during the event at Houston’s NRG Park which was attended by people.
According to the Houston Chronicle, Travis Scott stopped his performance several times when he spotted suckers in
torture near the front of the stage. Away, other suckers climbed camera platforms to try and gesture for help.
Footage from earlier in the event shows people getting tromped as suckers forced their way through security gates
while Personality entrances were also traduced.
Original politician Lina Hidalgo, county judge of Harris County, described what had happed as an “ extremely woeful
night”.

“ Our hearts are broken,” she said. “ People go to these events looking for a good time, a chance to decompress, to
make recollections – it’s not the kind of event you go to where you anticipate to find out about losses.”
A field sanitarium has been set up onsite, while a reunification centre has been established at the near Wyndham
Houston Hotel for families who haven’t heard from loved bones at the jubilee. The Saturday leg of the jubilee has also
been cancelled.
“ It’s veritably important that none of us presume, nothing has all the answers tonight,” said Chief Of Police Troy Finner
during a press conference following the event.
Travis Scott is yet to note on the tragedy.
